When you go from Sokobanja to the mountain Rtanj, the easiest way to get there is to take the road to the village of Trgoviste and at the first big crossroads go to the village of Muzinac. At the entrance to the village you have a signpost, on the left side of the road, which leads you to the path for the ascent to Rtanj. The passenger car can reach the beginning of the ascent without any problems. The climbing trail is visibly marked, and during the tourist season before or after the climb, you can refresh yourself with cold drinks or eat local specialties, in the facility located at the beginning of the climb. You can climb to the top of Rtnje from the Nikolinac and Boljevac sides, through the village of Vrmdže, but climbing over Mužinec is the easiest. A winding serpentine road, which can be reached by motorbike or even a good off-road vehicle, leads you to the highest peak at a height of 1565 meters, which is called ""Šiljak"". From Šiljko there is a beautiful view. You can see Avala in the north, you can see Deli Jovan, Stol, Veliki Krš, in the south-east Stara and Suva planina, and in the south when the visibility is very good, you can also see Shar-Planina. You can also see some cities in Krusevac and the like. Rtanj so-called The mystical mountain can be seen from almost all sides, from the Aval tower from the tops of all Šumadija mountains, when there is good visibility, you can see from Kopaonik the peak of Šiljak, defying the surroundings. It is difficult to describe all the features of Rtnja. It was as if he was choosing the position where he would settle. The map clearly shows one quadrangle: from the west Velika and Južna Morava, from the south Nišava and the railway Niš-Pirot, from the east the ridge of Stara planina touches Vrška Čuka, and below flows Timok, from the north Crna Reka and the gorge Čestobrodica. Rtanj is wide below, and at the top it narrows and forms a narrow ridge and an edged wall, and at the eastern end of the ridge rises the main peak-Šiljak. It is an almost geometrically ideal pyramid, which increases its mystique. While at the bottom there is a cave and sedimentary rocks, at the top there is limestone and that is why there is no spring. All the water flows into the foothills and erupts in the form of strong springs. It is wooded on the north side, it has conifers and deciduous trees. Rtanj is much better known for Saturea montana, which is Rtanj tea. It is used as an aphrodisiac, for lung diseases, treatment of colds, etc.
