Rosomacki lonci

„Rosomački lonci“ or also called „Slavinjskо grlo“. They represent the gorge of the river valley of the Rosomac River. It is located near the village of Slavinja which is 30 km from Pirot. The canyon comes from the centre of the village, about 15 minutes of easy walking. The scene is marked and goes through a unique relief of this part of Stara planina. The canyon was created by the intensive watering of the water stream into the rock mass of the Stara Planina. The canyon is characterized by the appearance of a cross in the riverbed, forming an imposing series of waterfalls and sources (pots). They were due to the process of vertical fluvial erosion, in places where the river suddenly cascades in the trough, so with the great kinetic energy of the water, the part of the river bed is cut off, just behind the cascade. The unique scene of this relief of the Old Mountain represents a true treasure of undiscovered wealth for all nature lovers.
