Savat I and Savat II or Smilovska lakes are water surfaces located in the Odorovsko field in the municipality of Dimitrovgrad. These artificial accumulations were made in the region of Zabrđe, in the karst Odorovac-Smilovo valley (at about 700 meters above sea level) near the village of Smilovac, after which the Smilovo lakes are named. Nearby is the famous natural rarity Petrlaška cave and the monasteries of St. Petka and the monastery of Saints Kirik and Julita in Smilovci. They are fed primarily with water from springs located at their bottom. They were made in 1979, ie 1985, due to land reclamation, ie drainage in the spring and irrigation in the summer and autumn, the fertile vast karst, Odorovo field. Currently, they are not used for that purpose, but for recreational purposes, primarily sport fishing. Since they were never fully put into their basic function, the lakes were eventually stocked and put under the management of the Association of Sport Fishermen ""Nisava"" in Dimitrovgrad.
