In the past near the village of Busintsi there were large deposits of clay and this fact has contributed to the rapid development of pottery and ceramics. The characteristic shapes and colors of the vessels used by local master potters are the grounds of the Busintsi pottery school. Typical colors are brown, yellow and green, which are extracted from all-natural materials.

The museum contains many exhibits representing various ceramic vessels - jugs, jars, vases, cups etc. A typical pottery workshop with traditional tools, incl. pottery kiln is also preserved and exhibited. The process of firing the dishes was very delicate and any unfavorable temperature change could lead to cracking of all ceramic dishes. The visitor leaves the Museum with admiration for the passion, mastery and patience of the old potters, but also with a little nostalgia for this forgotten traditional Bulgarian craft.
