TD "Osogovo" is the legal successor of the youth tourist association, founded in Kyustendil in 1914. The beginning of the tourist movement in the city was laid in the late XIX - early XX century by members of the gymnastic association "Osogovo Hero", who organized trips to the surrounding mountains. Organized tourism officially dates back to April 1914, when about twenty students from the Boys' High School founded the first Ruen Tourist Association. In 1922 the Osogovo company at the Bulgarian Technical Union was founded. The Ruen Society initiated the construction of the Osogovo hut, which was inaugurated in 1928. The societies were very active, but their activities were terminated in 1948 when the City Committee for Physical Education managed the organized tourism. After the restoration of the BTS in 1957, the activity of the Osogovo company, the successor of the two previous ones, was restored. TD "Osogovo" has clubs for hiking, mountaineering, caving, orienteering, etc., as well as clubs for veterans, mountain guides and conservationists. In twenty years, the members reach 29,000, and 50,000 people join the annual march to the Hisarlaka area.

It marks routes such as the one to the Crushed Stone, the Cross-Swamp, the Elijah's Cave, the Snake's Hole, the Babaleto area, etc. The company is the basis for forming the Yuchbunar area as a tourist attraction and the planting of redwoods a hundred years ago.
