TOPIC 1: Management and marketing of a tourism destination
Topic 1 addresses issues related to the definition and scope of tourist destinations and the life cycle of tourist destinations. Emphasis is given to the development of knowledge, skills, and competencies regarding the marketing mix of tourist destinations in terms of product policy, promotional and advertising policy, pricing policy and policy on distribution of tourist products, as well as the strategic management of tourist destinations. In Topic 1 of Module 1 the zoning of the tourist destination has found a place as a specific management tool for its management both in relation to a specific tourist location and in relation to a specific settlement.
